Hands up if you remember Prada’s beloved Edward? In case you forgot, he’s the blanked face robot that came in a Saffiano-wrapped body and electrical cables for limbs that stole our hearts when he first came out back in 2009. Edward is no ordinary robot though; he is actually a bag charm/keychain that comes with his own steel hook and split ring, and over time, has become one of Prada’s most unlikely icons yet.
And because it has reached icon status, Prada’s Trick keychains now extend to a family of colourful robots whom have joined Edward, with equally adorable names like Robin, Romeo and a girl robot named Giulietta, amongst others. Standing slightly taller than their older brother Edward (14 cm), these all-new Trick keychains range between 18 cm and 19 cm long with even brighter and bolder colours (and even more metallic hardware).
An adorable keychain that also looks good on your pouches and totes as a bag charm, you can even hook them all together as a little family of robots, because #moreismore. Available at all Prada boutiques islandwide, these new ones are retailing at SGD610 each, while Edward (which is the OG as far as the Trick is concerned) is priced at SGD430. And something to note, whoever said fashion is a bad investment should know that Edward was retailing for just SGD140 back in 2009. Really.

Introducing the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2017 Runway Bag Collection. Nicolas Ghesquière presented his edgy and sexy collection at the Place Vendôme, instead of the usual Fondation Louis Vuitton during the final day of Paris Fashion Week. The most coveted accessory in the runway was the iPhone case version of the popular Petite Malle bag. The phone cover includes a key ring and was presented in different materials like Monogram Canvas, Monogram Reverse and Crocodile leather. Louis Vuitton introduces a new color for the Damier pattern, which now comes in all Black and Tan. A variety of bags were seen in the runway with rope like handles. The top handle and flap bags with a lock closure has a striking resemblance to the Luna Bag. Tote bags in different shapes, as well as rectangular clutch bags were also featured in the collection.
A phone case from Louis Vuitton's spring 2017 collection.
When Nicolas Ghesquière sent his first look down the runway for Louis Vuitton's spring 2016 collection on the final day of Paris Fashion Week, the designer presented a brand new phone case that could very well rival the next "It" bag of the season.
The accessory is a tech-friendly version of Ghesquière's Petite Malle, an "It"-worthy handbag that the designer created for his debut runway show for the French fashion house back in 2014. It's a modernized and miniature version of Louis Vuitton's signature travel trunks.
The day before the show, Ghesquière gave his followers on Instagram a low-key sneak peek of the new accessory — emblazoned with a classic LV-logo motif and iconic hardware details. On the runway, there were plenty of reiterations, like gold and silver metallics, checkerboard patterns, as well as red and nude-colored crocodile leather. With so many options at the ready, we have a feeling Ghesquière is banking on the success of these cases for next season.
We reached out to the Louis Vuitton team for additional information and will update this post as we learn more. Though the brand's current offerings of phone cases go for between $295 and $445, we have a feeling these new styles will ring in at a much higher price; prices for the Petite Malle bag usually start at $5,500.

FASHION WEEK LOUIS VUITTON
Louis Vuitton Launched New Bag Styles on Its Spring 2017 Runway
Tech accessories present a huge opportunity for luxury brands, but even though we're a zillion generations into the iPhone's existence by now, none of the top-tier players have every gotten phone cases and accouterment exactly right. Brands tend to approach the pieces too rigidly, which means that most of the fun, quirky cases that consumers love are made by upstarts instead of luxury leather houses. With one of the pieces heavily featured on Louis Vuitton's Spring 2017 runway, though, that might be about to change.
There were a lot of exciting new bags in the show, including some very pretty full-leather pieces that should appease the logo-averse among us, but the thing I want to touch the most in person is the new iPhone case, modeled after the popular Petite Malle clutch. It looks as luxurious and detailed as any phone case I've ever seen, right down to the clochette that acts has an earbud-wrangler. The piece found its way into several models' hands, so I'm betting it (and hopefully a full line of equally luxe tech pieces) will be a big push for Vuitton come spring. Check out it and all the runway bags below!
There is perhaps no single brand aesthetic as recognizable in fashion right now as Gucci's. Alessandro Michele arrived at the brand with clear but expansive vision for what a fashion collection could be and all it could include, and he has never once wavered. Spring 2017's collection, which debuted yesterday in Milan, is exactly in line with everything we know about Michele's Gucci woman to this point.
Michele's collections aren't distinct sets of ideas so much as they're expansions on what came before them. They feel like he looked at his previous work and then employed the old improv principle of "yes, and...", which is supposed to lend itself a scene's progression and expansion. At Gucci, that lead to chinoiserie floral prints on silk, which made for some gorgeous bags in particular. There were also all the other embellishments, additions and details we've come to expect, including new animal-head clasps and bags emblazoned with written messages over leather and brocade. Check out all the bags from the runway below and shop the current season at Gucci.com.
I know what you are thinking. Why is Bagaholicboy posting something that will traditionally only be available in late December/early January since it is from theCruise 2017 collection? For starters, I’m loving loving loving loving loving (yes, that means love infinity) this bag so so so so so much (yes, you get the idea). The other reason? As far as Gucci is concerned, selected pieces from this collection will be available in Singapore from October 2016, which also means I better start prepping you all on the must-buys from this season.
First making its runway debut in London, there isn’t exactly an official name yet so I’m just calling it the Coral Snake Messenger for now.
IMAGE: GUCCI
So why do I love it so? Well, here are the reasons. For starters, nothing can beat the amazingly detailed red coral snake on the front of the bag, which almost looks like it was painted on by hand. Well, it’s printed actually, and on a grain leather body no less, which is another big plus for me. Why? Grained leather means it’s naturally hardier and will stand up to scratches better, so it’s something I almost always look for first in any bag. Because I can be a klutz like that.
Measuring 29 cm by 19 cm by 11 cm, I also adore its zip-around opening, and the top handle, but the bit that gets me falling hardest has got to be that web sling in blue/red/white that’s just freaking gorgeous. Part of the womens collection, I’ll have no qualms buying it and using it as my own ‘small days’ bag, which should also double-up nicely as a camera bag for my mini DSLR. Not that I own one of those yet, but priorities, right?
Priced at SGD2350 in Singapore, please march down to Gucci soonest and put yourself on the wait list because I have a feeling once they come in they’ll slither right out.
Fendi’s Resort 2017 Bag Campaign is everything we ever hoped for with its large selection of beautifully luxurious and fashion-forward bags. It looks like Karl Lagerfeld’s ingenious and creative ideas are brimming at the seams and they came to life at Fendi’s latest campaign.
Let’s roll out the red carpet for this newcomer which will surely be a hit once it lands on Fendi’s boutique stores.
We are predicting that this white bejeweled shoulder bag will sell out fast like hot pancakes for its rich and vibrant virtual appeal.
A white bag is the ultimate accessory any season so make sure you have this style staple hanging in your closet. Yes, it could be your go-to bag at any time of the day whether you go out for an early English breakfast, catch up with your girlfriends over lunch or go on a romantic dinner with your special someone.
Right next to our list is this newest Baguette bag. Yes, look closely since this is a baguette bag, but more like it got the makeover that it deserves.
The Baguette is Fendi’s “holy grail” and “most sought-after” bag. This time around, we don’t know what words to use to describe it since its ethereal beauty can’t seem to fit into words. But we’ll try our best.
The newest Baguette is sporting a dual color in red and white with a triangle pattern around it. It’s like a breathe of fresh air, breaking from the traditional design that it is known for.
